| 06/09/2009 "This sounds cruel but, we were sitting around the dinner table talking about what all my dad did bad when he was a kid. He started talking to us about lighting fireworks and throwing them at the cats ( told you its cruel), so my husband asked, "was it a black cat? "(meaning the firework) and my dad then comes back and says "No it was an old gray cat" thinking we were talking about the actual cat instead of the fireworks. I don't think any of us could stop laughing for about 10 minutes after that. We laughed so hard that we cried. That is the last funny memory I have of my dad before he passed away a few years ago,but I still think of him ever fathers day and every other day." |

He would drop everything he has to help out with his family. Anything we need, he's there. Especially these days with the economy he's always making sure his kids have groceries and money for gas. He is a farmer and we didn't always have a lot of money for extras growing up, but he always provided love, friendship, and a wonderful example for my sister and I. He got us involved in 4-H where we were able to earn money for college and he always encouraged us to be the best we could be in every situation. He tought us to be honest and giving people. My father has been a 4-H leader, worked in the communtiy and given back during times of need. I cannot imagine a more wonderful father or what my life would be like had he not been a part of it. I am truely lucky to have had him in my life." |

One time, a rat (some call it a mouse) got in my car and when I saw it, I called him and he came and got my car, gave me his and drove my car around until he caught! | 06/09/2009 "My dad is the best American dad! He loves to go fishing, loves to bowl, loves to play and watch sports and loves to watch TV. His favorite thing is to either fish or watch sports center. He has always included me in everything he does and thinks his family is #1. As a single parent, he has always been there to help with his grandchildren as well! He is the best Father and would be THRILLED to receive this prize. I cannot afford to give him such a nice gift but have always wanted to! I found this contest because he LOVES Great American Cookie cakes and I was going to get that for him for Father's Day so he would have two very big treats!
